Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about CCTV, WiFi and EPOS. Can't find yours? We're one call away.
CCTV
How much does CCTV installation cost?
It depends on the number of cameras, storage and property layout. A typical home system starts from a few hundred pounds installed; we always begin with a free, no-obligation site survey so you get an exact fixed quote before any work starts.
Can I watch my cameras on my phone?
Yes — every system we install includes secure remote viewing. You can watch live feeds, review recordings and receive smart alerts from anywhere using the app on your phone, tablet or desktop.
Do your cameras work at night?
All the cameras we fit include infrared night vision as standard, and we can supply colour-at-night cameras for driveways and entrances where identifying detail matters most.
Is CCTV legal for my home or business?
Yes, with a few responsibilities. For businesses, signage and data protection rules apply; for homes, coverage of neighbouring property should be minimised. We position cameras compliantly and explain everything at handover.
WiFi & Networking
Why is my WiFi slow in some rooms?
Usually thick walls, distance from the router, or interference. A single router rarely covers a whole property. We fix it properly with a coverage survey, wired access points and seamless roaming — not plug-in boosters that halve your speed.
What is structured cabling and do I need it?
Structured cabling is neat, permanent CAT6 wiring that gives tills, cameras, desks and access points a fast wired backbone. If your business relies on its connection, it's the single best upgrade you can make.
What happens if my broadband goes down?
With our 4G/5G failover option, your network switches to mobile data automatically within seconds — so card machines, tills and cameras keep working while the fault is fixed.
Can you cover outdoor areas?
Yes — weatherproof outdoor access points cover gardens, yards and terraces with the same seamless network as indoors.
EPOS
What EPOS software do you install?
We install and support NANOsoft EPOS — a fast, reliable platform built for hospitality, covering sales, stock, reporting and integrated card payments.
Do you really offer 24/7 support?
Yes — genuinely. Our support line is answered by real people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If a till goes down mid-service, we start fixing it immediately, usually by remote access.
Is NANOsoft EPOS right for my restaurant or takeaway?
Yes — hospitality is exactly what it's built for. Fast menu keys, table management, kitchen tickets and takeaway orders, with online ordering and card payments integrated on one NANOsoft system.
Will you train our staff?
Every installation includes on-site training. Your team will be serving customers confidently before we leave, and refresher training is always available.
